Editorial policy
Fresh Running Journal aims to make running culture readable, accurate and independent. We distinguish explanation from opinion, handle corrections openly and identify material created with commercial partners.
Accuracy and care
We check factual claims against suitable sources before publication and aim to present context where a subject has more than one reasonable interpretation. We avoid overstating what general information can establish, and we do not present running content as individual medical advice.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to guarantee favourable treatment of a product, service or partner. A commercial relationship does not buy an editorial conclusion, and any material connection that could help readers understand a piece will be disclosed.
Corrections
If a published piece contains a meaningful error, we review the concern and correct the text when warranted. Readers can send a clear description of the issue through the Contact page; corrections are identified in the relevant piece when appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements, sponsored features and other partner material are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an image is AI-generated, we identify it accordingly.
A run has a life beyond its distance
We look at the places, choices and shared habits around running, with room for curiosity and no demand to turn every outing into a performance.
